Founding member and Lead Guitarist of the band The Airborne Toxic Event, with eight albums, including two studio albums on Epic Records/Sony Music and three via Island Def Jam Music Group, plus two live albums: Live at the Greek and a concert recorded at the Walt Disney Concert Hall, presented by the Los Angeles Philharmonic (IDJ). Most recently released a studio album, Hollywood Park in 2020 on Rounder Records. Recipient of an RIAA-certified Gold Record for the song "Sometime Around Midnight." Currently working on the tenth album.
Completed seven international and 12 domestic headlining tours throughout the U.S., Canada, the U.K., E.U., Japan and South Korea, along with dozens of festivals, including Coachella (2009, 2013), SXSW (2008, 2009, 2011, 2013), Fuji Rock (Japan, 2009), Reading & Leeds (U.K., 2009), and many others. Played concerts with several orchestras, including the Louisville Orchestra (2010), the Colorado Symphony (2011, 2012), the San Francisco Symphony (2022), the Pacific Symphony (2013), and the Wordless Music Orchestra (2013).
More than 20 television appearances: The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Conan, Late Show with David Letterman, and Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and Gossip Girl. Contributed tracks to Dallas Buyers Club, Going the Distance, The Art of McCartney, Chimes of Freedom: The Songs of Bob Dylan, Muppets: The Green Album, and NCIS: The Official TV Soundtrack.
